With a generous 100GB allowance and excellent customer feedback, O2 Broadband is an Internet access service offered by Telefonica O2 U.K., a subsidiary of Telefonica Europe. Its service has impressed our readers with its reliability and ease of setup.

It's not widely available as BT's ADSL service because O2 uses its own equipment in local exchanges rather than simply reselling BT's broadband bundles. Prices are extremely competitive, though, especially for O2 mobile phone customers who receive a GBP5 monthly discount and don't have to pay the GBP25.32 setup fee. In late June 2011 Felix Geyer, O2's head of home broadband announced a fibre optic service that will directly compete with BT Infinity. This service will utilise FTTC technology, speeds and pricing have yet to be decided.
